Mobirise

The main thing I liked about Mobirise is that it is a dead-simple mobile website builder. You see, you don’t need to be a programmer/developer and you don’t need to have any coding skills to use this tool. Anyone can use Mobirise to come up with a mobile-friendly webpage. And when I say everyone, I really do mean everyone. There’s no price tag to deter people from getting Mobirise – it’s free!

Mobirise is available for the two major operating systems, Microsoft’s Windows operating system and Apple’s Mac OS X operating system. I did not test Mobirise on a Mac, so I can’t tell you how easy it is to get it up and running on a Mac. But I did test it on a PC, and installing it on a Windows-powered PC is an effortless task.

There are three buttons at the top on Mobirise’s interface: Mobile View, Tablet View, and Desktop View. Use these buttons to preview your website, to see how it will look on a smartphone, on a tablet, or on the desktop.

An arrow on Mobirise’s interface invites you to “click to start”. Click the + button from the lower right hand corner and you’ll be presented with a list of blocks: menus, headers, info, social, and other blocks. Select the ones you want and add them to your project. Once you’ve done that, edit the block parameters, arrange the blocks in the order you see fit, edit the text and other information that each block displays. When you’re done working on your project, you can save your work locally, upload it to a FTP server, or upload it to Google Drive.
